Firehouse Brewing Co. opened in 1991 in the heart of downtown Rapid City, and today we are proud to be the oldest operating brewery in the state of South Dakota.
We’re proud to offer Firehouse selections that are stocked, chilled, and ready for wherever the trail leads you! Choose from The Watch, Firehouse Light, Fire Engine Red, Bell Tower Lager, and Smokejumper Stout, which are available in cans and ready to grab in singles or mix-your-own 4-packs. Hazy Pale Ale
Pillowy hazy pale ale bursting with grapefruit, passion fruit, and tropical hop flavors. Inspired by the iconic film 2001: A Space Odyssey, it’s brewed with a thiolized Berkeley yeast strain for a truly out-of-this-world hop experience.
4.9% ABV • 20 IBU
Wheat Ale
An American wheat ale brewed with real raspberries, slight tartnesss balanced by a raspberry sweetness makes this a perfect combo for hot South Dakota summer weather.
5% ABV • 20 IBU
Altbier
Copper-orange in color. Rich and malty. Medium bodied “Old” style beer. Top fermented yeast at cooler temperatures impart a super clean “Lager-like” flavor. Somewhat spicy, mild but assertive hop character rounds out a nice dry finish.
Tasting notes: subtle caramel, toasted bread crust, nutty

Extra Pale Ale
A straight-laced extra pale ale from the Hills of the Dakotas! Toes the line between straw and orange in color. Pours a white foam with pronounced notes of citrus. Expect an assertive bitterness that gives way to passionfruit and grapefruit.

Fire Engine Red
Red Ale - Irish
A moderately tart and tangy start gives way to toasty notes with a crisp hoppy finish. This hop-forward take on the style is sure to please and intrigue red ale fans.

American Adjunct Lager
This American lager builds on a foundation of Pilsen malt and yellow corn, giving it a medium-light body and a distinctive sweetness.

Hazy IPA

Sour Ale
Made with real fruit! Fresh and floral, this sour simply crushes.

Sour Ale
Light, refreshing sour brewed with prickly pear and agave for bright citrus and tropical fruit flavors with a clean, tart finish. Named for the colorful South Dakota sunsets across the prairie at dusk.

American Pale Ale
Light-bodied with notes of blueberry, pine, passionfruit and subtle lime. The name is a nod to The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, starring Bill Murray as the wonderfully offbeat Steve Zissou.

Belgian Wit
Bright aromas of coriander, orange zest, and
distinctive Belgian yeast lead into delicate notes
of honey and vanilla over a smooth malt profile.
Light-bodied and refreshing, it finishes clean and
dry with virtually no hop character, allowing the
classic Belgian flavors to shine.
Tasting notes: Very pale straw in color with a
naturally cloudy appearance and a soft, moussy
white head.

Stout
This dry stout features a roasty coffee-like bitterness and a clean well balanced palate. A gentle hop bitterness is present.

Wheat Ale
Sunshine in a glass! This crisp, refreshing wheat ale perfectly balances a light citrusy character with delicate fruity esters and clove-like phenolics from its Munich-style yeast.

Pilsner
Inspired by a character from the well-loved musical-comedy troop, “Flight of the Concords”. This beer is a traditional Pilsner with Southern Hemisphere hop charm. Clean and dry in fermentation character, golden in color, and with very tropical flavors and aromas.
Tasting notes: melon, gooseberry, lime
