What can I say? They had great food at a modest price and the old fire equipment was quaint. I had the brew pub pulled pork salad and it was delicious. They had two portion sizes for the meal. I had the smaller portion and it filled me up. I normally eat a lot so I think had I got the bigger portion I would have had left overs for the next day.
Great food, modest price - Kalamazoo, Michigan
Downtown Rapid City is becoming micro-urban and artsy, but there are still many family-friendly restaurants here (not to mention ice cream and candy stores).
We liked Firehouse Brewing Co., a converted 100-year-old fire station that’s a dark but delicious restaurant and bar. The beer bread is a specialty, but it had a stronger flavor than you would get in typical beer bread. Try the Rancher’s Pie, a pot pie-type dish with flavorful chunks of beef and a solid base of mashed potatoes, or the Firehouse Ale Soup, a deliciously thick and creamy cheese soup. Afterward, take the kids upstairs to see some of the old firehouse equipment.
The local beer and wine are the top draws here, and they’re often served on the outdoor patio with live music. (For more on South Dakota’s wine, see this post by TravelingMom Carmel Mooney)

Kid Friendly Dining - Chicago, IL

Great ribs and beer!…indoor and outdoor seating, very friendly and hospitable service. My ribs were so soft and tasty and excellent fries. We aren’t beer drinkers so our waiter brought out a couple of samples, which was great. I would definitely go back, very nice experience.
Great ribs and beer! - Massapequea, NY

Ate here with my family. It is kid friendly- they give out coloring pages and firefighter hats and there is a children’s menu. The atmosphere is great- It’s in an old firehouse. There is an extensive menu (I’m a vegetarian and had no trouble finding options). Food was delicious. If you like artichoke dip give theirs a try. They offer a good selection of beer. If we had more time in Rapid City I would have gone back a second time
Loved it! - Wayne, NJ

Cool atmosphere! Exposed brick was beautiful. We had a large party on a cold rainy day and they sat us outside. They had the outdoor heaters on and it was perfect. Cool breezes with warm radiant heat. The food was good and the staff was friendly.
Great outdoor seating! - Tripadvisor

What a cute cute place to sit outside and eat. The murals on this old fire station are very clever…..makes you proud of our first responders. The food is excellent and the wait staff was very attentive. Put this on your bucket list.
