Sauvignon Blanc earns gold medal at the San Francisco International Wine Competition

Firehouse Wine Cellars’ brought home two awards from the San Francisco International Wine Competition, America’s largest international competition for wines, including a gold medal for its 2012 BFF Sauvignon Blanc. The 2012 Damn Few Gewürztraminer earned a bronze medal.

Nearly 5,000 wines from 26 countries and 29 states competed in the San Francisco competition held last month.

The annual competition, in its 35th year, brings together 50 judges from around the world with years of experience in wine from retail, restaurants, winemaking, media and consulting.The locally owned Firehouse Wine Cellars, situated in downtown Rapid City, opened in April 2014 and crafts a variety of traditional grape wines.
